you're fintastic ...

Hello, I am still here card making, I can share a few recent makes with you all now.  I just neeeeeded this gorgeous Calming Koi Die & Stamp set and the Water Builder Stencil both from Altenew, simply stunning. Coloured with my favourite medium Promarkers.  Spellbinders Striped embossing folder.  I wanted to use one of my all time favourite techniques for the inside, the acetate spiral and have the little fishes swimming around.

Thank you for still popping by to see me, especially as I don't post as much as I should, I really appreciate it.

Happy Christmas followers, stay safe love Jane

Especially for you ...

Managed to get my hands on the lovely Calming Koi dies & stamps along with the  water builder stencil from Altenew.  First attempt but I am really pleased with this one, certainly a few more to be made for my stash.

Super easy to construct the little fishes, coloured with Promarkers and the stencil looks amazing don't you think. I used TH distress inks; Tumbled Glass & Salty Ocean.  My first attempt but definitely going to play around with this.  So a DL card blank, strip of Sizzix cardstock and sentiment created on the WRMK Foil quill.

Bye for now Jane

FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL ...

Today I am sharing a card that came together out of scraps in about 10 minutes.  I wanted to check out the cardstock with this new 3D embossing folder from AltenewWhite pigment ink lightly rubbed over the image.  I grabbed my scrap box and before I knew it I had a finished card.  Never happened before but I suppose that just confirms the amazing quality of the embossing folder.  Hot foiled sentiment was in my scrap box too.  Very simple but stunning none the less.

Well a card a day during the month of December, 2023.  That is me done for this year, wishing all my fellow crafters a very Happy Christmas.  See you next year.

every birthday ...

Big Balloon die from The Stamp Market, made into a pretty shaker (as shown as inspiration to buy the product) just love this and super easy.  This is a 6" square card to give you an idea.  Teamed up with a die quickly becoming a favourite from The Greetery, Twisted Crepe.  Dug out a stamp set from Altenew titled Kind Confetti, perfect me thinks, ha ha.  Plenty of confetti and some sequins to finish.

Happy crafting, Jane x

I adore peonies and this stamp is just delightful to colour on Neenah Dessert cardstock with a combination of Promarkers & pencils. 6" card blank, vellum wrap shaker, sprinkles, eightieth cut on my Silhouette and the sentiment heat embossed in gold, matted on pink with 3d foam.  Some hand stitching in gold, and a few little pearls to finish.

Platinum Jubilee ...

You may have seen my feature in Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine issue 230 which went on sale last month which was showcasing milestone wedding anniversaries.  Well I couldn't resist making our lovely Queen a Jubilee celebration card in Royal colours of course.  There are many 3D embossing folders on the market, this one by Altenew titled Rose Bouquet, simply stunning and just rubbing a white ink pad over the top of the embossing, especially on darker cards looks amazing, don't you think :)  So I have used a DL card and cardstock from Papermania.  The numbers are from The Greetery and the sentiment is from Studio Light; Phrases 2.

Received a reply too ...

Have a great Jubilee weekend
Love Jane x

You may have seen my feature in Simply Cards & Papercraft issue 230 HERE released earlier this month featuring Anniversary cards.

Well today I want to share another, this is for a Diamond Wedding in a light grey, again using the embossing folder from Altenew; Rose Bouquet.   If you haven't tried the 3D folders yet, they are super easy and very very elegant and a quick make too, bonus.

Happy crafting Jane x

4" Notelets ...

CAS today, some 4" square notelets, to be honest I was just playing about with some card scraps and this stunning folder from Altenew.  Spellbinders hot foil sentiments from my stash, when I get my hot foiling out I tend to make a few to grab for such an occasion.  So this little lot took I would say less than and hour, all boxed up and a great little gift too.

FOR THE RECORD ...

Had this Silhouette file for a while and was asked for a music card so thought I would give it a go, two colour options so they had a choice. Along with the acetate spiral that I hadn't done for a long while but came across on my blog the other day and thought it would add that little extra finish.  Finished card folds flat and fit in a C5 envelope.

Thank you for popping by my blog today, Jane x

Smile ...

Today I want to share a Lawn Fawn Camera and add on dies, camouflage style.  I even took the photographs myself with a little help from my Nature Cam, really pleased with how this came out if I am honest & perfect for the lucky recipient.  Really love being in the garden, growing my own fruit & veg and watching the wildlife, very rewarding & to incorporate my garden in my craft, well perfect.

To achieve this you also need the Let's Toast die along with the Selfie Frames for the 'Smile' die cut.  The embossing folder of ferns is one of my all time favourite folders, so very pretty and works well with this card.  Happy Birthday sentiment, enamel dots and a shaker to finish.

Happy crafting, love Jane x

New Job ...

I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Tabby Fortune Teller from Lawn Fawn and made this 'New Job' card straight away but I have had to wait until the recipient had received it before I could share.

I treated myself the the Reveal Wheel goodies too which I have been looking at from a far but couldn't resist anymore.  So this is my first Reveal Wheel and I am sure the first of many more.

I have used papers from Nitwit Collections, hand stitched, little grey heart, some golden gems and also the NEW Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust on a background of TH Distress Oxide; Salty Ocean.

I have taken the plunge into the world of stencils in the past few weeks and made some on my Silhouette Cameo, so I have inked the paws again with TH Distress Oxide; Gathered Twigs onto some white vellum.

Shake me ...

This card was requested for a adult birthday, anything cat related, no problem I thought.  A little gift to me was the Picture Perfect stamp set from MFT and no matter what age we all love an interactive card don't we.  I have created a mobile phone style shaker on my Silhouette, sprinkles, congrats die, matted and layered, coloured with Promarkers, cg birthday sentiment, enamel dots.  I made on myself a paw stencil so I used this to emboss a piece of white vellum.

See you again soon
