A milestone birthday shaker card today, using the gorgeous Wilma loves wine from Stamping Bella.  I have cut the shaker on my Silhouette, image stamped on first & last to create a 3d effect.  Some little heart sprinkles & a few lemon fruit slices too. Coloured with Promarkers, papers from Pink Petticoat CD, gold glitter board, gold organza ribbon and the sentiment is heat embossed in gold, some black gems to finish.

All Systems Are Go ...

Just loving the 'Outside the Box' dies from MFT, so much fun and super easy.
So today I have used the 'Blastoff Buddies', 'Best Friends in the Universe' for the sentiment and the  balloons from  'Adorable Elephants' & of course the 'Clouds'.  Digital paper from Pink Petticoat; Navy random dots. Coloured with Promarkers, white highlights & glossy accents.  A few gold star gems to finish.  Below a side view.

Thank you, have a good crafty day, love Jane x

I have a complete 'Silhouette' Christmas card to share with you today,
on the home stretch with the special family cards now!

All the elements have been cut on the Silhouette and then layered up to add depth.
I had a go at making my own enamel dots and these two were melted from pony beads.

Nice & quick today, lots to do.

Warm Tidings ...

I have been making some 'quick' Christmas cards to boost my supplies and I
have made several along the lines of this one.
I say quick, still hand stitched!

I have used the gorgeous papers from Pink Petticoat called 'Christmas Kraft Organics'
they are just too gorgeous.  Plain white card for the border, edge punch, gingham,
string, bells, sentiment, mittens & finally an old heart punch.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, take care, love x

50th Wedding Anniversary ...

Something different today as it is my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary
so it called for an extra special creation.
Regular followers of my blog will know I like to make paper aida and cross stitch.
I have more examples of my creations here
Pretty simple layout but many hours sewing, around 16 or so!

What have I used, well the aida is made on an Excel spreadsheet and then distressed
Matted and layered onto satin gold card & Pink Petticoat printables.
Finished off with some ribbon, gems & flowers.

That is all from me today, be back tomorrow with
a new challenge for you.
Take care, x

Sew a little happiness ...

Another quick card today using the Pink Petticoat digi download as before, just a different sentiment from the set this time.  Again I have used some more backing paper from the free papers in Quick Cards last month, I thought it went well with the flowers on the sewing machine.  This time I have stuck some strands of scrap ribbon and then tied a bow of pink and green along with some pins and attached to the front of the card.  Hand stitched as always and some pearls to finish.

No ingredients today as they have all been listed over the last weeks posts, should you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

Royal Wedding Runner Up Cardmaking Competition ...

Well this is the project I was working on that I couldn't show some weeks back and why I was gone from blogging land for a while.  As you can see it is for the forthcoming Royal Wedding, the idea came to me very quickly but the planning and making of the card took over 20 hours but I am really happy with the result.
I chose to use the colours from the official wedding china, blue and gold with a hint of distressing.
---
Onto the details,  backing paper is from Pink Petticoat, hand stitched and distressed with Antique Linen from Tim Holtz.  The paper aida was cg, again distressed with the same ink and obviously hand cross stitched!  For the flowers I have used Sizzix Bigz 3d flower die and completed with pearl beads.  Martha Stewart branch punch, some pearl sprays and two heart pins from Wild Orchid Crafts.  As you can see it is an easel style card and for the bottom part I have used some fab lace from Cuddly Buddly and the sentiment is from LOTV.

I also made a matching box but this time I have stitched some love birds.
Not the best light to take the pictures in!

Take care, happy crafting, Jane x

Sew Special ...

Today I have been playing with this digi from Pink Petticoat when I saw it I couldn't resist!
Love stitching on my cards (if you are regular visitor to my blog you will already know that)
but I do prefer to do it by hand!
---
I have used backing paper also from Pink Petticoat but it was the free with Quick Cards magazine a few weeks back, some Kraft card and the digi is printed onto LOTV cardstock and coloured in Promarkers.  Sentiment is one of a selection from the kit.  Lace, buttons & gems are from my stash.  Pins are Wild Orchid Crafts and the cotton reel & needle are dies from Quickutz, I have had them for many many years so I cannot find a link at this point.  If I manage to source them I will update this post!

A nice simple one today but very effective don't you think?
Take care, Jane x

Mr & Mrs ...

Today I have a card complete with matching box that I have made for my MIL who is due to be married tomorrow, I wanted something really special and I know she will treasure it so I decided to go with paper aida and cross stitch in the colours of the wedding, cream & pale pink.  It has taken me countless hours to plan & stitch but I am really pleased with the result.
---
I have used Rymans cardstock and Anitas card blank, the backing paper is from Pink Petticoat (little fleurs).  Cream linen card from my stash, flowers & ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts and the branch is a Martha Stewart punch.  The pearls and beads are from also my my stash which I have wired together.  Finished with Tim Holtz distress ink, Antique Linen.  As before I have made the aida on the computer and hand punched the holes and then stitched.

Thanks so much for dropping by and any comments you wish to leave.
Fingers crossed for the weather and the wedding?
