on our Anniversary ...

Today I have created an anniversary card using the Sizzix Painted Birds, something a little bit different I thought.  So I cut them out of white card stock and coloured them using Promarkers, WRMK gold foiling, Sizzix Surfacez card and the leaves are from a Doohickey box.

Congratulations ...

Time for another challenge at
for which I am the Guest Designer for the month of November, yey!
This weeks challenge is 'Wedding or Anniversary'
so it was time to ink up another stamp I purchased in the Summer, really
loving Tilda & Edwin this year, had you noticed :(!
A pic of the tag which tucks behind the image complete with a couple of rings.
I have used papers, mirri, flowers, glitter spikestulle, clay heart, pearls, tag die & ribbon.
Coloured of course with Promarkers and matting & layering completed on my Silhouette.
Why not come and play along with us this week.

Happy crafting, love

Congratulations ...

Yey its Friday let the weekend begin!
Well already at the midway point for the challenge at
Today I would like share a card which I made back in the Summer to
celebrate a 25th wedding anniversary.
Clean & simple but so pretty don't you think.
All the cutting, birdies, cage, matting & layering were completed on my Silhouette.
I have used an embossing folder for the background.
Some mirri, charm, gems & ribbon.
The sentiment was also done on my Silhouette using the metallic pens.

Thank you for popping by today, I hope you will come & play
along with us if you haven't already & good luck.

On your wedding day ...

A quick wedding card I was asked to make; the brief pink, cream and pearls.
I took inspiration from the Royal Wedding Card I made for William & Catherine, I had stitched two love birds on their box to go with the stitched card so I thought this time around I would make the birds the feature on the card.  Clean & simple was the look I was going for, job done!
---
The backing paper is a freebie from Summer Time Designs; awareness kit download.  I have also used linen cream card; cream seam binding; cg sentiment; pearls from stash; MS frond punch; Die-namics rolled rose die, all topped off with a little TH Antique Linen distress ink. As before I have made the paper aida on a spreadsheet, pricked the holes and then stitched in pink cotton.

Take care, enjoy your crafting

Happy Anniversary ...

Today I have a card using a LOTV stamp which I purchased on release many moons ago and my hubby really liked it so I kept it to make this Wedding Anniversary card especially for him.  We are celebrating 20 years of marriage which is china (so china bath)!  Also we are celebrating with a weekend away in Bath, how fab did that work out?
---
Onto the ingredients, I won't waffle today and just give you the basics, if you want any more info please just ask, I don't bite - well not hard!
Anitas square card blanks.  Papermania polka dot paper and Coredinations cardstock.  Ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Flower Sizzix.  Sentiments are both freebies online somewhere, sorry.
Martha Stewart branch punch.  Gems are Anitas. Glossy accents for the bath water/bubbles.  Prisma colours.
---
Finally I have made two personalised buttons, they don't show too well on the pic but they are both on some blue/brown polka dot papers and one says our wedding date and the other says with love.  Both were made on the computer with some (alot) of help from my wonderful daughter, Eleanor.

I am entering this card in this weeks LOTV Challenge 'Love is in the air' and Here Come the Boys Challenge which is 'Anything goes'.

Royal Wedding Runner Up Cardmaking Competition ...

Well this is the project I was working on that I couldn't show some weeks back and why I was gone from blogging land for a while.  As you can see it is for the forthcoming Royal Wedding, the idea came to me very quickly but the planning and making of the card took over 20 hours but I am really happy with the result.
I chose to use the colours from the official wedding china, blue and gold with a hint of distressing.
---
Onto the details,  backing paper is from Pink Petticoat, hand stitched and distressed with Antique Linen from Tim Holtz.  The paper aida was cg, again distressed with the same ink and obviously hand cross stitched!  For the flowers I have used Sizzix Bigz 3d flower die and completed with pearl beads.  Martha Stewart branch punch, some pearl sprays and two heart pins from Wild Orchid Crafts.  As you can see it is an easel style card and for the bottom part I have used some fab lace from Cuddly Buddly and the sentiment is from LOTV.

I also made a matching box but this time I have stitched some love birds.
Not the best light to take the pictures in!

Mr & Mrs ...

Today I have a card complete with matching box that I have made for my MIL who is due to be married tomorrow, I wanted something really special and I know she will treasure it so I decided to go with paper aida and cross stitch in the colours of the wedding, cream & pale pink.  It has taken me countless hours to plan & stitch but I am really pleased with the result.
---
I have used Rymans cardstock and Anitas card blank, the backing paper is from Pink Petticoat (little fleurs).  Cream linen card from my stash, flowers & ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts and the branch is a Martha Stewart punch.  The pearls and beads are from also my my stash which I have wired together.  Finished with Tim Holtz distress ink, Antique Linen.  As before I have made the aida on the computer and hand punched the holes and then stitched.

Thanks so much for dropping by and any comments you wish to leave.
Fingers crossed for the weather and the wedding?
