Delight in the Little Things ...

Back today with another fabulous Saturated Canary image and I really love the
blues and kraft card for this one.

I have used Websters Pages papers which were free with
Simply Cards & Papercraft a while ago.  The pad is called
Western Romance & All About Me.
I have mounted the papers onto Kraft cardstock.
Coloured this little cutie in co-ordinating colours
using Promarkers.
Hand stitched with a blue cotton.
I have pleated some seam binding and stitched that also.
The flowers, pearls, charm & buttons are from my stash.
I have used a lace die for the border and also the sentiment too!
Sentiment is also a Whimsy stamp.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Tomorrow sees the start of Wimbledon 2012

seems to be traditional too!

Country Kitchen collection.
I do love a bit of gingham along with a simple layout.
Images have been coloured with Promarkers and the
strawberries have been glossed
Plenty of hand stitching too.

Something different today as it is my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary

Regular followers of my blog will know I like to make paper aida and cross stitch.
I have more examples of my creations here
Pretty simple layout but many hours sewing, around 16 or so!

What have I used, well the aida is made on an Excel spreadsheet and then distressed
Matted and layered onto satin gold card & Pink Petticoat printables.
Finished off with some ribbon, gems & flowers.

That is all from me today, be back tomorrow with
a new challenge for you.
Take care, x

Remember when (Joanna Sheen DT Card) ...

Well today I have a card for the new challenge over on the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog
and for this fortnight the challenge is titled 'Remember when'.
I have used the 'Garden of Dreams' Countryside Stamp Collection.
This particular cottage stamp is where Joanna lives in Devon.
My inspiration for 'Remember When' was when I was a child, we used to holiday
in Devon with jam and scones, hence the backing paper.
Also in the old days (hark at me, I'm not that old) but you could buy
large boxes of chocolates with the most gorgeous images on the front
and this picture is what would be known as a 'chocolate box picture'.
Pictures not only featured gorgeous cottages and scenes but also
cute little animals too!
---
So come on and join in the challenge,
We have a daily talent spot - It could be YOU!
We have weekly blog candy and goodies for the challenge winner too.
We also have a top 3 and a guest design spot up for grabs.
---
Thanks for popping by and for all your lovely comments.
I would also like to welcome my new followers,
your visit is very much appreciated and I do hope you
have been inspired by your visit today.

Friends are Special Treasures ...

Well I couldn't resist colouring another one of this little cutie pie, such a delight.
Krista is such an amazing artist don't you think.
---
Well I decided to go a bit more vibrant with the colours on this one.
Rather pleased with her black hair as I have a tendency to go for brown alot.
I have also used my Promarkers once again,
Tim Holtz border die for the lace
Sentiment again from Create with TLC
Backing paper by Nitwits
Gorgeous Hydrangea felt flower using the 'Loopy Bloom' die
with some seam binding for the foliage.
Pearls and Kraft card from my stash, almost forgot I have run
the Kraft card through a heart ribbler which I purchased right back when
I started crafting, can't for the life of me think where I got it from but this is what it
looks like!
Hand stitched, can't seem to stop stitching, just seems like the card
isn't finished if I don't!
---
Thank you to all my followers and the lovely comments you leave
I really appreciate your time and support

Gorjuss Christmas ...

As promised this is my Daughter's Christmas card this year and I have managed a bit of
masking for this one and I am really pleased with the result.
Really loving red and green again, also that gorgeous pine cone die again!
Not sure you can see it clearly but the red rafia sticking out of the top left of the card is a tiny
tag with 'Daughter' heat embossed in silver on it for a personal touch.
---
I am entering this card in the Passion for Promarkers Challenge; 'Celebrations'
as my third and final entry.
---
Thank you for taking a peek and any comments/questions you wish to leave.
I will post my Hubby's card in the coming days as my final Christmas card posting.

Take care everyone, wherever you are, love Jane x

Christmas Wish ...

I have been playing around with more Kraft card today and this is the result.
This Tilda is called 'Hanging Ornaments' from Christmas last year.
I have also tried some crackle glaze on the edges of the Kraft card over the stitching.
Sorry for the picture quality what with these dull damp days and no sunshine!
---
I am entering this card in the Just Magnolia challenge which this time round is 'Ribbon, Ribbon, Ribbon'

Can I take this opportunity to welcome my new followers and thank you all
for your fabulous comments.

Little Holly ....

Today I have 'Little Holly' from the wonderful Lili of the Valley latest release.  This is the second card I have made using this little cutie but this time I have gone for a night time background.  I have coloured her using a selection of Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prismas to create this affect.  As you can see I have taken my time and done it 'Pointillism' style.
---
I have used navy linen cardstock, Papermania backing paper, Rymans white cardstock.
The sentiment is from the Adorables range of stamps, some red seam binding and I have recycled the holly leaves & berries from an old cracker, sprinkled with Twinklets diamond dust, all finished off with some more hand stitching.  Almost forgot some Stickles Crystal glitter for the candle to give a warm glow.
---
I am entering this card into the Lili of the Valley challenge this week which is 'Warm and Cozy'
Thanks for looking, take care, Jane x

On your wedding day ...

A quick wedding card I was asked to make; the brief pink, cream and pearls.
I took inspiration from the Royal Wedding Card I made for William & Catherine, I had stitched two love birds on their box to go with the stitched card so I thought this time around I would make the birds the feature on the card.  Clean & simple was the look I was going for, job done!
---
The backing paper is a freebie from Summer Time Designs; awareness kit download.  I have also used linen cream card; cream seam binding; cg sentiment; pearls from stash; MS frond punch; Die-namics rolled rose die, all topped off with a little TH Antique Linen distress ink. As before I have made the paper aida on a spreadsheet, pricked the holes and then stitched in pink cotton.
---
Take care, enjoy your crafting

Winter Friends .... Gorjuss

As promised another Gorjuss from the recent release 'Winter Friends' !
Again coloured in the Gorjuss style intended by the artist,  which I just love.
Coloured using Promarkers and then dusted with TH distress ink 'Antique Linen' which seems to give me the effect I am looking for with these girls.
---
Lost my mojo abit this week but yesterday I won some Spellbinders border dies which is brilliant as I don't have any Spellbinders. Just ordered the tan embossing mats recommended to get the best results so as soon as they arrive I will be away and I hope my mojo will come with them?
Today I have won some Oriental gold embossed paper from Papermania AND two digis from Crafty Sentiments.  How lucky am I?
---
Off to buy a lottery ticket seeing as my luck is in, fingers crossed!
Take care, Jane x

Catch a falling star ...

OMG, still loving these little teddies and big style!
Again I have enlarged the digi to pretty much fill the entire card and combined her with some free papers from Simply Cards & Papercraft; papers by Fancy Pants.
Adore the colours and the sentiment along with some fab seam binding.
Took me an age to get the dress colour to match the bow as I only have a 48 set Prismacolors
but I am really pleased with the result.
Hand stitched once again, some Cosmic Shimmer Pearl PVA glue, liquid applique for the  hat pom poms, glossy accents for her nose and a cute little button to finish.
---
I don't know if you can really see it from the picture but I have put some 3d foam pads on the left hand side of her to raise her off the page and just double sided tape on the right, rather effective in real life.
---
Thanks for popping by once again and I hope you like todays offering, as always any questions and I am more than happy to share.
---
I have some more new Teddy Bo digis this week so there is a high chance that my next creation is another cute little bear?
Take care, happy crafting, Jane x
