Happy Fathers Day ...

My new love are the Spellbinders Brush dies, suitable for all and look stunning.  Realised that I hadn't blogged this one, really effective I think. There are a few brush die collections; Artful Tulip (this one), Paint Your World Artful Brush, Painted Blooms & Butterfly Burst.  You can also get some sentiments which match up perfectly.  So blue mat, hand stitched, CG sentiment, brush handles were from scrap card, the rest were cut out of white Neenah and coloured with Promarkers.  A few glossy accents to finish, although I think they are so old they have become discoloured so added a new bottle to my list.

Thank you once again for popping by my little old blog today, Jane

H A P P Y ...

Another creation using the Spellbinders Betterpress system.  The card for this is 100% cotton which gives an amazing image and very tactile.  This HAPPY & BIRTHDAY press plate is from the exclusive bundle available over at Spellbinders UK along with the flower plate.  The butterfly I have taken from the Butterfly Garden press plate.  The blue ink is titled French Blue also in the exclusive bundle direct.

Bye for today, Jane

happy birthday TO YOU ...

My first play with the Spellbinders Betterpress system.  It is in my opinion worth all the hype and awards, the impression is just gorgeous and seeing is believing, although I do appreciate it is a considered purchase.   Normally I am a alcohol marker kind of girl, but the ink used with this system incidentally created by Ranger is not recommended as it will bleed.  So I have used blending pencils for this one.  I will of course try markers in the near future but as I say I was just playing about, not intending to actually create a finished card.  So coloured cardstock, mat & layered, vellum and the gorgeous press plate which comes with the starter kit along with the sentiment from the Little Message plates.

Thank you for popping by my blog today

GO WILD ...

Love this stamp; Wild Roar by Mama Elephant, took some stamping to get this effect and indeed some colouring too, but well worth it.  Foil quilled the sentiment and matted onto gold glitter cardstock & also quilled the leaves & birds onto the vellum.  Some glossy accents for the little noses & white highlights too.  Hand stitched and some gold gems to finish.

Thank you for popping by my little old blog today, Jane x

Elegant Christmas ...

A few Christmas cards today, using a fabulous new stamp; Christmas Wreath from Crafty Individuals.
I have been looking for an elegant stamp like this for sometime, clean & simple with a couple of gems to finish.  Stamped on cardstock from The Paperbox; Dusty Blue & Moss Green with white/gold embossing powder.  First purchases from both Crafty Individuals & The Paperbox and the service was brilliant, I would highly recommend.

Take care, Jane

eightieth ...

I adore peonies and this stamp is just delightful to colour on Neenah Dessert cardstock with a combination of Promarkers & pencils. 6" card blank, vellum wrap shaker, sprinkles, eightieth cut on my Silhouette and the sentiment heat embossed in gold, matted on pink with 3d foam.  Some hand stitching in gold, and a few little pearls to finish.

Bye for today, Jane

Christmas Cards ...

More elegant Christmas cards completed, on a roll this year.  Another gorgeous stamp from Colorado Craft Company and the Big & Bold Collection, this one is titled Winter Wishes Snowflake.

I confess I was totally hooked with the colours from the sample shown when buying this stamp.   I have added some little gems to finish, hopefully the recipients will love them as much as I do x

Once again, it has been one of my things for a few years now and that is to decorate the envelopes to match, so gold 7x5 envelope also with this gorgeous snowflake.

Bye for now Jane x

Summer ...

Today I am sharing my 'Summer' theme inspiration as Guest Designer for

A little something for me and my studio today.  The frame is a cutting file over on the Silhouette Design Store by Nilmara Quintela.  So I have covered it in Nitwit Collections papers, Gesso & TH Antique Linen distress ink for a shabby look.   The words on the back panel are CG and also added a back flap so I can add some larger memories; like a cork or two ha ha.

So Tilda of course, Tilda on the Beach, love this little lady, coloured with Promarkers.  Plenty of flowers, sand in a bottle, view finder, Doohickeys from numerous box kits, cheesecloth & clear dew drops. I have also used Tilda playing with water on the side of the memory box, I just couldn't resist using both!  Plenty of pictures from all angles.

Please do come & play along, looking forward to all your entries.

Stay safe, happy crafting, love Jane x

hooray ...

Well I can finally share this card with you, first attempt at the black background colouring showcased by Stephanie Klauk.  Stunning effect, so elegant and very relaxing.  I opted to stamp this large MFT stamp; Harmonious Hibiscus in London Fog first using my stamping platform, coloured the flowers, re stamped in watermark and heat embossed in gold.  Finally coloured the black background.  A strip of vellum, hooray die, HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment and a few gems to finish.

Not a quick make but looks gorgeous, I will definitely be trying this effect again soon.
