FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL ...

Today I am sharing a card that came together out of scraps in about 10 minutes.  I wanted to check out the cardstock with this new 3D embossing folder from Altenew.  White pigment ink lightly rubbed over the image.  I grabbed my scrap box and before I knew it I had a finished card.  Never happened before but I suppose that just confirms the amazing quality of the embossing folder.  Hot foiled sentiment was in my scrap box too.  Very simple but stunning none the less.

Well a card a day during the month of December, 2023.  That is me done for this year, wishing all my fellow crafters a very Happy Christmas.  See you next year.

Break Glass Here ...

Well today I want to show a card  based on a fire alarm I have etched into the acetate front the words 'Break Glass Here' added a faux screw and instead of the word fire, Christmas.

Inside I have put some miniature crackers.

Really pleased with this one!

Happy 50th ...

Firstly, not the easiest card to photograph, being over 16" in length, so my apologies.  Pretty simple, 50 rolled up pieces of paper using gorgeous papers from Nitwit Collections; Coffee Talk.  Little cream flames cut on my Silhouette Cameo, then glittered with Stickles.  Computer generated sentiment and 'make a wish' printed on Safmat to finish.

Now just need to get the fire brigade on speed dial, ha ha!

Merry Christmas ...

Had a little play with a Lori Whitlock file on my Silhouette, just enlarged it and made a box for it.  Added some sprinkles for some added sparkle.  Very simple but very effective and something a little bit different.

every birthday ...

Big Balloon die from The Stamp Market, made into a pretty shaker (as shown as inspiration to buy the product) just love this and super easy.  This is a 6" square card to give you an idea.  Teamed up with a die quickly becoming a favourite from The Greetery, Twisted Crepe.  Dug out a stamp set from Altenew titled Kind Confetti, perfect me thinks, ha ha.  Plenty of confetti and some sequins to finish.

Christmas Time ...

Purchased this die; Winter Foliage from The Greetery upon release ready for my special Christmas makes.  Five layers; cream, rose gold, pale pink, sage & kraft. Some snow, pearls, gems, sentiment , organza ribbon, navy card and embossing.

Great Birthday ...

CAS today, love the agenda stamps from Mama Elephant and these adorable little pandas are no exception.  So coloured with Promarkers, sentiment is from Lawn Fawn, gold organza ribbon & some gold gems to finish.

Home Sweet Home ...

A clean and simple shaker card today, rather effective I think.

So Kraft base card blank, cream, navy, acetate, cream matting & layering.

Cut on my Silhouette and filled with gorgeous red hearts from Nuvo Confetti.

Winter Wonderland ...

Today I am sharing Christmas cards, CAS for speed.  I have used the gorgeous glitter cardstock from Crafters Companion Luxury Cardstock pack; Ice Blue and one of the new die sets from Christina Griffiths & Card Making Magic Snowflake Christmas Collection. The sentiment is cg and a sparkly gem to finish from my stash. No hand stitching in site this year ha ha!

WITH sympathy ...

CAS today, as you can see something that is necessary but not a pleasure to send.

The cutting file is from the Silhouette Design Store titled 'Flower Tile' by the artist Cali Arroyo.

I have cut out of cream card stock and layered onto a lovely green (fav colour anyone that doesn't know me by the way) and gold heat embossed the sentiment from an old Personal Impressions stamp set couple of gold gems to finish, beautiful.

Pine Bough ...

 

  

  

Some special Christmas makes once again, this time using the gorgeous Pine Bough from The Greetery now exclusively available at Seven Hill Crafts.  I have been waiting for the brand to come to the UK so needless to say plenty of goodies went in my basket ha ha.

So navy card blank, navy card mat with Frantage (pink & gold to match the mirror card), mirror card, cream/navy sentiments foil quilled on my Silhouette.  Cut pine branches/needles & cones and lightly coloured with distress ink.  Sprinkled a little more Frantage before assembly.  

These special cards are a little bigger than 7x5 so they have boxes to match.

CAS birthday card today, a new stamp to my stash titled Citrus Berry Cupcake from Colorado Crafts Big & Bold Collection. First inking for that special someone. Suitable for all and looks very effective, I love the detail.

Wow, the Spellbinders Anemone die is just delightful, super elegant and I can't say this is my design, I simply fell in love with the wonderful Yana Smakula creation HERE  which was inspired by Joan Bardee Guest Designer for Yana, credit goes out to you both, I just couldn't resist.

Lets Conga ...

Love this stamp from Colorado Craft Company, illustrated by Anita Jeram.  It is lovely to colour and a good size, so I have stamped it either end but it is of course one stamp :) Sentiment is from Spellbinders for the Betterpress but hot foiled.  Crepe, sequins & gems to finish.

HAPPY birthday ...

I have had a little play with some new goodies, this is Ginkgo from The Greetery which is now available exclusively at Seven Hills Crafts here in the UK.  Coloured in Promarkers.  Also the Lets Have a Word Birthday die has been cut several times in the navy/black cardstock to make it pop and then in gold.  Vellum & navy/black mat cut with Sue Wilsons Double Stitched dies.  Assembled with pva & 3d foam tape.  The 'Happy' is taken from Anita Jeram Bee you Stamped in Blueberry Bushel/black ink.

I would like to enter this into the following challenge -

Christmas Wishes ...

A contemporary, masculine Christmas card to share today.  White card blank and mat, Frantage background and trees cut from black, vellum, gold and patterned card stock.  3d foam mounted mat and some of the trees.  The sentiment was foiled on my Silhouette.

Spectacular Seventy ...

CAS today, cut on my Silhouette, MFT 'Hooray' die cut in gold mirri and topped with gold glitter card stock.  CG sentiment, sequins and pink embossed using one of the fabulous Next Level embossing folders from We R Memory Keepers.

CAS cards today, blue & pink, just beautiful I think you will agree.

Cream card embossed, 3 coloured papers/card from my stash and one heat embossed vellum butterfly.  Hand stitched, hot foil sentiment and some gems to finish.

HAPPY Birthday TO YOU ...

Just came across this die set; Sweet & Savory from Spellbinders recently.  I just loved Angela's card HERE and couldn't resist making my version.  

So multiple layers of card for the cake (incl cream and jam), colourful sprinkles and the aperture.  A vellum strip with white heat embossed powder and some gems to finish.

So effective and simple if not a little time consuming to make but well received, that is for sure.

on our Anniversary ...

Today I have created an anniversary card using the Sizzix Painted Birds, something a little bit different I thought.  So I cut them out of white card stock and coloured them using Promarkers, WRMK gold foiling, Sizzix Surfacez card and the leaves are from a Doohickey box.

Not often I make baby cards but I do have the complete set of Stamping Bella Hey Baby stamps; this one is titled Sprouted Baby, just waiting to for a little one to arrive, hooray.

Coloured with Promarkers, sentiment is from Betterpress; Always & Forever foiled in silver.  Mat & layers along with a star, cloud & sun from a Doohickey Club kit.  Little blue pearls to finish.

A couple of SMILE cards today, purchased this 'Say Cheese' die in the Spellbinders sale a while back, just adorable.  I have made both lenses into little shakers.  Backing paper from Nitwit Collections, coloured card from Sizzix.

SEASONS GREETINGS ...

A couple of fun interactive Christmas cards to share today, loving the Dancin range from Spellbinders; this one is titled quite simply Dancin Penguin, super fun and very simply to construct.

Pattered paper from my stash on DL card blanks, greeting.  Some old Doohickey snowflake dies with gems.  A little white highlight and shaped bellies, plenty of skating fun for all.

So seeing as I haven't blogged much this year, naughty naughty, I thought I would post a creation a day throughout the month of December for a variety of occasions and not just Christmas, enjoy.
