Just for You ...

Just for a change I have another criss cross card for you and I have used
this Tilda which until now had remained un-inked.
Naughty, naughty!
I have started my Christmas cards as you can see from yesterdays post
and I do have more in the pipeline, honest.

This is the inside of he card, I just love these papers too.

This style of card is alot more hand stiching for me but the results are worth it.
If you haven't tried a criss-cross card yet, I think you would find this tutorial by Bev
helpful and like anything trial and error, what suits you really.

I have used -
Cheesecloth, flowers, bird cage, sentiment, die cut. Buttons & ribbon from my stash
and coloured with Pro/Flexmarkers.

Thank you all for your visit, welcome to my new followers
and as always
 Happy Crafting.

Down in the Garden ...

I have a CAS card to share today for the launch of the new
which for this fortnight is
'Down in the Garden'
so we want to see your lovely creations with
say flowers or garden animals, it is up to you.

I have used the gorgeous
stamp set designed by Wendy Cotterill and
bought to us by Joanna Sheen called 'Herb Garden'
which includes these delightful poppies.
One of my all time favourite flowers and as they
are just so elegant I have kept it very clean & simple
and I have decoupaged the flowers for that extra pop!

I have also used -
Kraft card blank, ribbon, button, charm,
sentimentgems & Majestic squares die
Can you believe it only stitching on the button for this one!

Thank you for visiting my blog today and I do hope
that you will be able to join us for this challenge?
As always there is a £ 15 voucher to spend with
Joanna Sheen for the winner.

We have a top five too and daily talents spots
and weekly blog candy, whats not to like?

Take care, love

Summer Days ...

We have had some lovely sunshine of late so I couldn't resist
playing with these little cuties from LOTV called 'Best Friends'.

The papers were freebies in a mag many moons ago.
I have used my butterfly punch with no name once again!
The sentiments are also from LOTV.
The 'live' ticket, flowers, leaves, pearls and of course hand stitched
and coloured with Pro/flexmarkers.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge -

Ladybug Crafts - Summer Fun (I won)!

Thank you for returning to my blog once again today
and for all your wonderful comments, I really do appreciate it.
Welcome to my new followers too, enjoy!

Shaped Cards ...

Well time really does fly just back from my holiday and it is time
for a new challenge at Passion for Promarkers and it has been chosen by
the lovely and talented Kim.
We want to see your shaped cards this week and I have
decided to us a digi as the main focus on the front of the card
and then cut around it.
It is a tri-fold card which I have made simply by
sticking two cards together, the green hill is the right opening.

This is the front of the shaped card, slightly open.
I have used papers, flowers, fence, cloud (inside), cheesecloth,
sentiment & pearls.
I have also used glossy accents the eyes, really looks
fabulous on these characters.

This fab challenge is sponsored by
who have
6 Digi stamps up for grabs for the
winner of this one!

Please come and join in, you never know it could be you!!
Take care, x

Summer Daze ...

Today is the launch of a new challenge over on
the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog
so lets pretend the whether is glorious instead of the constant rain!
Tomorrow sees the start of Wimbledon 2012
so strawberries all the way and I suspect more rain which
seems to be traditional too!

I have used this lovely stamp set from the
Country Kitchen collection.
I do love a bit of gingham along with a simple layout.
Images have been coloured with Promarkers and the
strawberries have been glossed
Plenty of hand stitching too.

Please come and join in the challenge, there is a £ 15 Joanna Sheen
voucher up for grabs for the winner.
We have a daily talent spot, it could be you!
We also have weekly blog candy, you have to be in it to win it as they say.

Remember the reality may be wind and rain but lets pretend
it is a glorious summer.
Take care, x

A couple of quick makes ...

As promised a coupe of quick makes using the same stamp which is from Anita's called Scribbly Flower Stamp by Docrafts.  I didn't buy it here, I have had it for many years but this is a link I found for you.
---
Pretty basic, square white card base, Coredinations blue cardstock punched with MS punch around the page called Cherish.  Kraft card stamped with the flower using Versamark and a white embossing powder.  Some pearls from my stash and some baby blue ribbon.  The sentiment again stamped with the ink and heat embossed is from Whimsey Stamps.
This one is much the same with some hand stitching, green ribbon to represent the stork of the flower and some Crystal Stickles for a bit of bling.  The sentiment once again is from Whimsey Stamps.
---
That's it for me today, I have a few cards in the pipeline so I hope you will join me again very soon.
Take care, Jane x

Teddy Bea in the Spotlight ...

This is my entry for the new challenge over at Teddy Bo; hence the title!
Still playing with the bears and making it large with the image again pretty much filling the whole card.
Loving this image since its release a couple of weeks ago; this Teddy Bea is called "Beach Bea" and I have initially coloured her in with Prismacolor and then dotted over the top with Promarkers to give this effect, rather effective me thinks?
---
I confess this technique came about more by accident as I wasn't happy with the colouring being such a large image and all, so I had a go with the Promarkers and hey presto!  I made a mask for Teddy Bea and dusted Tim Holtz 'Tumbled Glass' distress ink around her for the background and then again dotted with the Promakers to finish. A little bit of stitching (for a change) and some glossy accents for her nose and the puddle beneath her.
---
Thanks for popping, lots of new Teddy Bo images for sale today so please pop over for your weekly fix.  I received some images for my feature last week (very gratefully received Gayle, thank you) so I am off to have a play.
---
Thanks to all my followers regular and new, take care, happy crafting

Catch a falling star ...

OMG, still loving these little teddies and big style!
Again I have enlarged the digi to pretty much fill the entire card and combined her with some free papers from Simply Cards & Papercraft; papers by Fancy Pants.
Adore the colours and the sentiment along with some fab seam binding.
Took me an age to get the dress colour to match the bow as I only have a 48 set Prismacolors
but I am really pleased with the result.
Hand stitched once again, some Cosmic Shimmer Pearl PVA glue, liquid applique for the  hat pom poms, glossy accents for her nose and a cute little button to finish.
---
I don't know if you can really see it from the picture but I have put some 3d foam pads on the left hand side of her to raise her off the page and just double sided tape on the right, rather effective in real life.
---
Thanks for popping by once again and I hope you like todays offering, as always any questions and I am more than happy to share.
---
I have some more new Teddy Bo digis this week so there is a high chance that my next creation is another cute little bear?
Take care, happy crafting, Jane x
