Just For You ...

Another Teddy Bo card for you to see today, green my fav colour combined with purple.  I have been playing with some more felt flowers, they are such a dream to make!  Also treated myself to the new Epiphany button studio which you can personalise your own buttons, these are my first buttons using some coordinating paper from Papermania.
---
Bazzill green cardstock with some Papermania Capsule purple gingham for matting and layering, along with some brown Kraft cardstock.  Lots of hand stitching, I find it very relaxing hence all my cards being stitched.  Celebrate sentiment is LOTV and the Just for you is Anitas.  Coloured with Prismas again and glossy accents for the noses.  Pearls from ebay, can't think which seller sorry.  Felt from the Felt Fairy using the Sizzix 3d die and MS punch for the branches.

With Love ...

Today I have used one of my old stamps; she is called Heidi from CC Designs Swiss Pixie collection.
I have coloured using my Promarkers this time with a touch of Stickles for her wings.
Cardstock is from Coredinations and MME (mag freebie sometime ago)!
I made the flowers using a new die I purchased a week or so ago called Die-namics, I used basic pink cardstock, scrunched it up, spritzed it with Tattered Angels mist and to finish a pearl bead.  Branch punch is Martha Stewart.  Sentiment is a stamp which was free with a mag recently designed by Pink Petticoat and my ever faithful punch with no name; the butterfly!
Pearls from my stash and of course hand stitched.
The polka dot paper was pleated and then hand stitched to secure in place.

A Special Guy ...

I won this handsome chap in some blog candy and I love it, I hope you do too.  This is a first for me as I have used my new Prisma Colors, I am rather pleased with the result but I certainly have a long way to go yet!!!  My little baby boy turned nineteen recently and this is the card I made him.  The tag was made using an old clothes label of his as a template and the old chord.  The flowers were made using his old FT!
As you can see it is a DL easel card another first as I am rather set in my ways and like using square ones most of the time!
---
Anyways onto the recipe,  black/purple cardstock from stash, buttons and  hand stitched.  Boutique ribbon from the Papermania Capsule Collection, flowers die cut again from the Sizzix 3d flower die, Martha Stewart branch punch.  'Live out Loud' sentiment is from Elusive Images (not sure where you can purchase this now)! 'A Special Guy' sentiement from The Greetings Farm.  'SON' punched using a Quickutz alphabet, finally the square black gems are from Papermania Mosaics; Onyx & Diamond range.

Hope you like it, take care, happy crafting

Mother's Day ...

Today I want to show you my creations for Mother's Day 2011.  They are infact watering can cards, you should be able to make out the opening at the rear of the can?  It gets harder and harder each year to make something different, a one off or in this case two!

I got the template off the internet and enlarged so I could make the cans out of Bazzill 12x12 cardstock.  Simply wet glue together and then embellish with flowers, pins and babys breath from Wild Orchid Crafts and some handmade ones too, using Sizzix 3d flower die.  The sentiment is from Sundae of Seasons by Polka Doodles.  Butterfly is a Tonic punch adorned with gems for the trail.  Button, raffia, angel hair, wooden heart and ladybird all from my stash.  The leaves are again my MS branch punch.

Thanks for looking and I hope all Mums enjoyed their special day!
Take care, lots more crafting to do

A Birthday Recipe ...

Today I have one of the adorable LOTV images from the last release combined with a 'baked biscuit'!
Pink Petticoat backing paper, Joanna Sheen doily, Whimsey 'created for you' sentiment and LOTV sentiment.  A couple of flowers from the blog candy I won from Paula in January, some gingham ribbon from my stash and that fab technique from Janet at Pink Gem Designs for the baked biscuit.  A little hand stitching and some sparkly gems to finish.  Oh, nearly forgot a little red pearl for the cherry!
---
I really enjoyed colouring this little image, especially those naughty little mice.

Take care, be back soon, love Jane x

Sew a little happiness ...

Another quick card today using the Pink Petticoat digi download as before, just a different sentiment from the set this time.  Again I have used some more backing paper from the free papers in Quick Cards last month, I thought it went well with the flowers on the sewing machine.  This time I have stuck some strands of scrap ribbon and then tied a bow of pink and green along with some pins and attached to the front of the card.  Hand stitched as always and some pearls to finish.

No ingredients today as they have all been listed over the last weeks posts, should you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

Royal Wedding Runner Up Cardmaking Competition ...

Well this is the project I was working on that I couldn't show some weeks back and why I was gone from blogging land for a while.  As you can see it is for the forthcoming Royal Wedding, the idea came to me very quickly but the planning and making of the card took over 20 hours but I am really happy with the result.
I chose to use the colours from the official wedding china, blue and gold with a hint of distressing.
---
Onto the details,  backing paper is from Pink Petticoat, hand stitched and distressed with Antique Linen from Tim Holtz.  The paper aida was cg, again distressed with the same ink and obviously hand cross stitched!  For the flowers I have used Sizzix Bigz 3d flower die and completed with pearl beads.  Martha Stewart branch punch, some pearl sprays and two heart pins from Wild Orchid Crafts.  As you can see it is an easel style card and for the bottom part I have used some fab lace from Cuddly Buddly and the sentiment is from LOTV.

I also made a matching box but this time I have stitched some love birds.
Not the best light to take the pictures in!

Love Birds ...

I have made a card today using a stamp set from Woodware, I have found the quality of this brand of stamps poor in the past but I just love this bird cage and I have to say since my last purchase of Woodware the quality has improved 100% and I would recommend them now.  Maybe its just me but I always found them very thin and prone to tearing.  Anyways the cage is hanging from a couple of links and behind as the picture below shows I have stamped the sentiment 'A little bird told me...' which is included in the set.
The stamp set is called Bird Song (FRCL169) available at Sir Stampalot but I purchased mine from the Make It Show in Farnborough last month.  I have stamped in Momento ink and coloured with Promarkers.  Cardstock again is from LOTV (as per previous post).  Backing paper is from Dovecraft, a 6x6 pack called 'Eastern Blooms' it contains 72 sheets of beautiful papers and I paid £1 again at the show last month.
Hand stitched as ever, blah blah.  The pink card, pearls and ribbon are from my stash.  Flowers and pin are Wild Orchid Crafts and a Martha Stewart branch punch to finish.
