Mr & Mrs ...

Today I have a card complete with matching box that I have made for my MIL who is due to be married tomorrow, I wanted something really special and I know she will treasure it so I decided to go with paper aida and cross stitch in the colours of the wedding, cream & pale pink.  It has taken me countless hours to plan & stitch but I am really pleased with the result.
---
I have used Rymans cardstock and Anitas card blank, the backing paper is from Pink Petticoat (little fleurs).  Cream linen card from my stash, flowers & ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts and the branch is a Martha Stewart punch.  The pearls and beads are from also my my stash which I have wired together.  Finished with Tim Holtz distress ink, Antique Linen.  As before I have made the aida on the computer and hand punched the holes and then stitched.
---
Thanks so much for dropping by and any comments you wish to leave.
Fingers crossed for the weather and the wedding?

Merry Christmas fellow bloggers ....

Sorry I have been away for some weeks, I have been busy catching up on making the Christmas cards.  Pretty much done now apart from the three most important people in my life, hubby, son & daughter;
so no pressure!
---
The card I have for you today started out just playing with the image and putting a nose on Tilda, I was rather pleased with the way she looked so I finished a card with her, hope you like her too.
---
Onto the ingredients - backing paper is from Polka Doodles 'Sundae of Seasons'
edged using Tim Holtz distress inks.  Adorable Tilda coloured using Promarkers.  Sentiments from LOTV and the Adorables range.  Martha Stewart snowflake punch, glittered using crystal Stickles.  Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Bells, heart, beads and red nose from my stash.

National Cardmaker of the Year 2010 continued ...

Found out today that I have also come second in the Papermania category of the competition!!!! This is the only photograph I have of my creation but I am not really sure whether you can make out that it has infact got an acetate dome on it, complete with liquid embossed rain drops?

'Cardmaking & Papercraft' Magazine have posted their photo of my entry on their website but that doesn't really show the dome either.
I think you can just see some raindrops? I wish I had taken some angled photos now.

Thanks for looking, can't wait for my new goodies although I must admit I am still making Christmas cards so I haven't really got time to play anyway!

---

I must say CONGRATULATIONS to all the finalists, it was great to see all the creations in the magazine and online.

I Won Some Goodies ...

Today I received my LOTV goodies which was great but I also received a box FULL of Sugar Nellie stamps. The reason I hear you ask, well I have come second in the National Cardmaker of the Year 2010 run by Cardmaking & Papercraft in the Sugar Nellie category!!!
---
This was my entry, I must admit when I made it I did not want to part with it but I am soooo glad I did. You have to be in it to win it as they say. All the winners are officially announced when the magazine goes on sale next week, can't wait.

Sooo many new goodies to stamp but I have spent the day clearing the leaves in the garden so I think I will take an evening off.

Thanks for popping by, I hope you like it and well done to all the other winners, I am looking forward to seeing the other winning entries.

Angel Tilda ...

Today I have an adorable Tilda (aren't they all) from the new Christmas 2010 collection. I couldn't resist her when I saw her along with a few others that just fell into my basket!!!! Not had time to play with the others but I am behind on my Christmas cards so I know they will be inked up very soon.
---
I have used Angel Tilda from Magnolia as I have already said which has been stamped onto Rymans white cardstock using Momento ink and coloured using Promarkers. I have used Crystal stickles for her wings and 3d foam pads to raise her up. I have stamped the christmas tree from the Adorables range onto watercolour paper using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Scattered Straw and lightly watercoloured. Pearl Cream cardstock from my stash and the backing paper is from Summer Driggs. Gems are from Anitas, Craftwork Cards candy, pin and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Netting from Trago Mills in Cornwall. The sentiment is also from the Adorables range. Yet again I have used the branch punch from Martha Stewart. All papers have been edged using the distress ink. A long list sorry but I think thats the lot.
---
Really pleased with the colours on this one, I hope you agree.
Thanks for popping back to see my cards, take care
---
Ooops forgot to mention, this is my entry for this months Sir Stampalot Challenge which is titled 'Christmas Traditions'. I always remember putting the Angel on the top of the Christmas tree, she was shop brought but lets just say she wasn't quite perfect but we didn't have the heart to get a new one!

Simply Sassy 2 ....

Well here it is the other Simply Sassy card I told you about. Same colour tones as my previous post. I have incorporated a stamp from the Adorables range which I thought worked well too. Over at Funky Kits they have just released the second set of Simply Sassy so I managed to order a couple of those along with the wonderful sentiments from LOTV.
---
I have used the same backing paper from Summertime Designs, an old manilla envelope, Rymans cardstock again and a paper doily from Joanna Sheen. Hand stitched once again, it takes a bit longer than the faux but I do prefer the real thing. Flowers, ribbon and brads from Wild Orchid Crafts. Gems are Papermania and the sentiment from Craftwork Cards. I have distressed the edges once again with the Tim Holtz inks. Finally that Martha Stewart again and a button from my little pot of stash.
---
Thanks for looking, really enjoying these images but I really must get on and make some more Christmas cards!

Simply Sassy ...

Today I have been playing with a couple of the new stamps from Sugar Nellie range Simply Sassy, so here is my first creation. My children are teenagers so cards for friends have moved on from cute little boys & girls and I think these are just the job.
---
Well I have used the usual ingredients which includes Anitas square card blank, Rymans white cardstock and coloured using the fabulous Promarkers. I have also used a manilla envelope for backing paper along with the spotted paper from Summer Driggs. I have hand stitched and distressed using Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Paper doily and crystal brads from Joanna Sheen, ribbon, from Wild Orchid Crafts along with the flowers too. Martha Stewart branch punch and teh sentiment is Inkadinkado clear stamp set called Paperwork Greetings.

Really enjoying the cool blue colour tones at the moment (you probably guessed that already)!

LOTV Christmas ...

Well as promised some of the my creations using the fabulous LOTV Christmas Nativity stamp range. I just love them. I have made four in total so lots of pics today, I hope you like them? Pretty much using the same colour tones on each one.
---
I will try and list all the items used on the cards but if I have missed anything, or you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch & of course any comments you wish to leave.
---
Well here goes, on all cards I have used Anitas square card blanks, LOTV stamps, Momento Ink onto Rymans white cardstock and coloured using Promarkers. All the sentiments are from the Adorables range by Jayne Nestorenko and edged using Tim Holtz Distress Ink. Stickles glitter, ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts, gems from Papermania and buttons from my stash. On the Angel card the cream border was a free gift from some craft shop when I made a purchase so I don't know what punch was used for this. Backing papers are from Anna Griffin, Polka Doodles
and some free downloads of the web, can't find where now so if you know get in touch & I will update this post.
---
Thanks for popping by, enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Hanglar Girl ...

Although I have been playing with LOTV stamps and Adorables as previously mentioned they aren't quite finished so I thought I would show you this card I made a couple of weeks ago using a Hanglar stamp. This was a present so I don't know what she is called, sorry.
---
Papers are from MME and they were a magazine freebie. Flowers, pin & ribbon is from, you guessed it, who else but Wild Orchid Crafts. Martha Stewart branch punch. Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Coloured in Promarkers & hand stitched. The charm was also a present some years ago and the little bug I think came from Hobbycraft, again many years ago!
---
Thanks for popping by, I must go and finish the many cards I am playing around with before I start using my latest new goodies including some gorgeous Tildas from the new collection & a couple of the new Sugar Nellie stamps called Simply Sassy, amongst others.
