A Birthday Recipe ...

Today I have one of the adorable LOTV images from the last release combined with a 'baked biscuit'!
Pink Petticoat backing paper, Joanna Sheen doily, Whimsey 'created for you' sentiment and LOTV sentiment.  A couple of flowers from the blog candy I won from Paula in January, some gingham ribbon from my stash and that fab technique from Janet at Pink Gem Designs for the baked biscuit.  A little hand stitching and some sparkly gems to finish.  Oh, nearly forgot a little red pearl for the cherry!

I really enjoyed colouring this little image, especially those naughty little mice.

Take care, be back soon, love Jane x

Sew a little happiness ...

Another quick card today using the Pink Petticoat digi download as before, just a different sentiment from the set this time.  Again I have used some more backing paper from the free papers in Quick Cards last month, I thought it went well with the flowers on the sewing machine.  This time I have stuck some strands of scrap ribbon and then tied a bow of pink and green along with some pins and attached to the front of the card.  Hand stitched as always and some pearls to finish.

No ingredients today as they have all been listed over the last weeks posts, should you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

Royal Wedding Runner Up Cardmaking Competition ...

Well this is the project I was working on that I couldn't show some weeks back and why I was gone from blogging land for a while.  As you can see it is for the forthcoming Royal Wedding, the idea came to me very quickly but the planning and making of the card took over 20 hours but I am really happy with the result.
I chose to use the colours from the official wedding china, blue and gold with a hint of distressing.
---
Onto the details,  backing paper is from Pink Petticoat, hand stitched and distressed with Antique Linen from Tim Holtz.  The paper aida was cg, again distressed with the same ink and obviously hand cross stitched!  For the flowers I have used Sizzix Bigz 3d flower die and completed with pearl beads.  Martha Stewart branch punch, some pearl sprays and two heart pins from Wild Orchid Crafts.  As you can see it is an easel style card and for the bottom part I have used some fab lace from Cuddly Buddly and the sentiment is from LOTV.

I also made a matching box but this time I have stitched some love birds.
Not the best light to take the pictures in!

Take care, happy crafting, Jane x

Love Birds ...

I have made a card today using a stamp set from Woodware, I have found the quality of this brand of stamps poor in the past but I just love this bird cage and I have to say since my last purchase of Woodware the quality has improved 100% and I would recommend them now.  Maybe its just me but I always found them very thin and prone to tearing.  Anyways the cage is hanging from a couple of links and behind as the picture below shows I have stamped the sentiment 'A little bird told me...' which is included in the set.
The stamp set is called Bird Song (FRCL169) available at Sir Stampalot but I purchased mine from the Make It Show in Farnborough last month.  I have stamped in Momento ink and coloured with Promarkers.  Cardstock again is from LOTV (as per previous post).  Backing paper is from Dovecraft, a 6x6 pack called 'Eastern Blooms' it contains 72 sheets of beautiful papers and I paid £1 again at the show last month.
Hand stitched as ever, blah blah.  The pink card, pearls and ribbon are from my stash.  Flowers and pin are Wild Orchid Crafts and a Martha Stewart branch punch to finish.

Sew Special ...

Today I have been playing with this digi from Pink Petticoat when I saw it I couldn't resist!
Love stitching on my cards (if you are regular visitor to my blog you will already know that)
but I do prefer to do it by hand!
---
I have used backing paper also from Pink Petticoat but it was the free with Quick Cards magazine a few weeks back, some Kraft card and the digi is printed onto LOTV cardstock and coloured in Promarkers.  Sentiment is one of a selection from the kit.  Lace, buttons & gems are from my stash.  Pins are Wild Orchid Crafts and the cotton reel & needle are dies from Quickutz, I have had them for many many years so I cannot find a link at this point.  If I manage to source them I will update this post!

A nice simple one today but very effective don't you think?

Its Your Day Enjoy it ....

Today I have one of the new release from LOTV, isn't it just gorgeous.
I have recently purchased my first Doohicky die after seeing it on 'All the things I love' blog  by Bev Rochester and I am sure this will be the first of many!  Both the image & fence I think work well together.
---
Onto the goodies, lilac gingham card from one of those Payperbox sections at my local craft outlet, hand stitched as always.  LOTV card stock for the image and coloured with Promarkers.  Decoupaged the leaves slightly too. Rose buds from Wild Orchid Crafts, leaves were punched using a Papermania  small punch.  Butterflies from the punch with no name.  Ribbon from my stash, pearls & gems also.  It doesn't show but I have also used white Doodlebug flock on the little tail.  Must not forget the sentiment is from Whimsey Stamps; birthday letter seals.  I had these and others for my Birthday recently, I would highly recommend.

Long time no blog, sorry folks I have been sooooo busy and also working on a card project which I can't show just now!  Today I have a card using this gorgeous new digi from Wee Stamps and instantly  I knew she would work well with the free Pink Petticoat papers in Quick Cards magazine issue 84 February.

Onto the ingredients, I will be brief as I am sure you all know by now what to get where but if you have a question please do not hesitate to ask.  Free papers as mentioned & the digi, coloured using Promarkers.  Not had time to play with my new goodies; Prismacolor pencils, watch this space (if anything is worth showing that is)?  Hand stitched as usual, sentiment LOTV, flowers 3d Sizzix Bigz die, ribbon WOC and finally MS frond punch.
